Here are some notes from the Marseille show, after
recovering and listening to the tapes.

set I: Dogs Stole Things, Limb By Limb, Ginseng Sullivan,
Bathtub Gin > Llama > Waiting In the Velvet Sea,
       Lizards Jam, Oblivious Fool

set II: Also Sprach Zarathustra > Julius > Magilla,
Ya Mar > Ghost > Take Me To the River

e: Funky Bitch

the first set Bathtub Gin > Llama > Velvet Sea was very funky.
For analog, I flipped a 100 after Llama. It might fit
onto a 90 flipping after Gin, but where I put it is better
for listening.

The LIZARDS JAM is a very slow, strange version of Lizards
with no lyrics. Most people in the audience don't get it
until the end, where it's obvious. I am labelling it as
Lizards Jam since there are no lyrics.

I put set 2 on a 90, flipping after Magilla. This Ya Mar is
interesting, since Trey "conducted" the band similar to the
previous night in Lyon. The ending of Magilla is also a
"grand" ending, similar to the Lyon Poor Heart ending. I
noticed that several times during the Europe shows I was at,
that they revisited themes on consecutive nights. In Amsterdam
the story of the WORMS and riding on the back of a WORM was
mentioned both nights, and again in Nurnberg, and in fact
someone in the band mentioned the WORM again in VA. Beach
last night. (!)

The set closer is a funky version of "Take Me To The River"
from the Talking Heads FEAR OF MUSIC album. NOT a Springsteen
cover. (please!!!) The Chicago Blues band Son Seals, which
may have written Funky Bitch (?) joined them on stage for
the encore.

Marseille is the 3rd largest city in France, and is basically
Atlantic City, NJ without a beach or casinos.
